Project Manager
Part of a successful engineering and technical group the Company is a world renowned custom antenna designer and manufacturer that excels in the research, design and manufacture of specialist, high specification, custom designed antennas.
Their wealth of expertise also includes a substantial range of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) antennas and associated components.
Typically engineered to operate in the 30MHz to 60GHz frequency range, their high quality engineered, designed and manufactured products are suitable for a wide range of applications
With several large projects coming on stream they are seeking a dedicated Project Manager for the business.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Director of Projects the Project Manager will manage projects across the Antenna business as an end-to-end process. This will include managing customer expectations through building excellent relationships and the management of third party suppliers to ensure service levels meet the demand of the projects.
The location is Leominster but there is flexibility to work from home
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver all projects in line with the Project Management department best practice methodology (managing risk, governance, quality assurance, issue resolution, reporting) Setting up and management of the wider project team involving additional project management resource, internal technical resource, 3rd party suppliers, account team members and client stakeholdersProduce detailed project plans and manage interdependencies with other work packagesTo take full responsibility for the management of the wider project team assigned to the projectServe as primary contact for engineering team members requiring support from the business.Ensure strict commercial change control to manage deviations Apply relationship management skills and to be able to build and own client and stakeholder relationships at senior levelManagement of Third-party suppliers in terms of selection, deliverables, timelines and budgetsAdhere to relevant escalation processes to escalate resource issues, delayed project phases, missed deadlines and other planning issuesEnsure commercial project milestones are agreed and published and that invoices are raised with reference to these dates and/or on completion of deliverablesManage the expenditure within the project, ensuring all costs are recorded against products and services deliveredCreate and effectively manage the stakeholder plan at project level, incorporating all project work-streamsInterfacing with internal stakeholders across a number of departmentsIdentify and implement efficiencies and improvements in project delivery methodologyEnsure products and services delivered within the project are within time and budget constraints and meet the required level of qualityMonitor the project ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner and the appropriate corrective actions are implementedReview the outcomes of the project to determine any corrective actions that could be taken to improve future programme/project delivery in terms of cost, quality and customer satisfactionAdherence to all health, safety, environmental & quality policies and standards outlined by the companyAny other duties as the business requiresTo apply, please forward your CV to engineering@chestertongray.com
