If you are looking to improve your work satisfaction, understand what you want from your career and why your current role might not be fulfilling then a coach can help you find your way.

As well as supporting you to make informed career decisions that are the best for you, they can also offer other career tools, such as a CV review, interview training and networking advice.

Who it will benefit

Anyone who wants to find a new job, change their career, advance their career, get promoted or develop within their current organisation.

How coaching works

Career coaching will help you to clarify your career direction whilst promoting confidence in your skills and supporting you on your journey to your dream role.

Essentially a combination of coaching and counselling, it will provide you with advice, guidance and support for your career journey. This will be over a number of one-to-one sessions where your coach will work with you to help you find the answers and the best outcomes for you.

What it won’t do

Unfortunately, career coaching is not a miracle pill that will find you a dream job! Nor, can it provide you with answers in just one session. It is more a journey where you take the steps needed to succeed in your goal, with our advice and guidance.

The best time to use a coach

A career coach can be used at any time in your professional life but will be particularly effective in the early stages of your career, helping you to choose the right pathway, and also in mid-career when you may have lost your way and need support to change. It can also be useful towards the end of your career if you want to scale back or move to a portfolio career.

Typical reasons given for using a Career Coach

These can include:

  • Not liking your job

  • Needing to adjust your work-life balance

How long does it take?

Support can be for as long as you want.

What will it cost?

You will be charged per session but this does include a one-to-one meeting and all background work and research before and after your meeting, together with ongoing support.
