The company, founded in the 80’s, has grown to become a worldwide and growing player in software technology and engineering across a number of key global sectors.  Today it employs nearly 1,500 staff across the major continents, with revenue touching $200m through a series of targeted acquisitions and strategic partnerships.

The UK has played an equal contribution to this success and plays a key consulting role throughout the product development cycle to address its customers challenges of evolving global competition, time constrained product development cycles, extended enterprise integration, and continuous productivity and profitability pressures.  Its success in meeting these challenges and as part of its expansion, the company is seeking to strengthen its position by the creation of this new role.

The Sales Account Manager will be working closely with the marketing and technical team with a major focus on the identification and architecting of solutions to meet customers’ business and technical requirements.  The key elements within the role will be to: identify prospective companies, to gain introductions with prospective clients and to understand those client’s key needs enabling a clear presentation of the company’s solutions in the context of those needs. The Sales Account Manager will additionally be responsible for the project proposals and critical price negotiations.

The successful candidate is likely to be educated to degree standard, preferably in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a similar technical subject.  They will have already demonstrated some expertise either as an Applications Engineer or in a sales/customer facing role within IT or engineering design /development. A technical background in Computer Aided Design, Computer Aided Engineering or Finite Element Analysis is preferred; but above all aptitude and attitude will be key ingredients to their success in this role.
