The company is one of the UK’s leading designers and manufacturers of large centrifugal pumps, valued up to £150,000 each, for the water and waste water sectors both here in the UK and overseas. Established many years ago they have around 1500 pumps in operation around the UK, manufacturing and installing around 75 per annum currently. As well as manufacturing new pumps they service and maintain existing products in the field.
In order to spearhead the development and growth of the business they are looking to recruit a number of key personnel, including a Commercial Manager. At the same time they are looking to undertake some succession planning whereby opportunities to move up to senior management/Director level will become available in the next few years.
Initially the role would entail reviewing contracts and advising the sales team on conditions of contract, preparing payment applications, negotiating variations and time extensions to various sizes and types of contract. There would also be a requirement to manage projects/orders that are won.
The attributes needed would be a minimum qualification of an HNC/HND, mechanical or electrical background, experience of contracting within the utilities market, preferably Water.
