Process Instruments and Analyzers
Location: Sussex
Salary: £50-60,000 basic plus benefits
The company, a subsidiary of a UK plc, is a leading manufacturer and supplier of a range of high quality instruments, components and system solutions to the world’s process, utility and environmental sectors. They are a truly global concern with operations in the UK, USA, Asia, Germany, France, Netherlands and the Middle East with 90% of sales being non-UK.
Manufacturing is both complex and technical with their extensive range of instruments being hand built at the UK facility, which has grown fast in the last few years. As a consequence of this they need to recruit an experienced Engineering Manager who can bring leadership and co-ordination to the function, enabling them to deliver significant product and process improvements across the range.
The Manager will lead the engineering teams and help deliver new product introduction, product enhancement and product engineering projects within time, budget and specification. This will involve bringing both a strategic and practical focus to the role as well as ensuring that engineering and equipment resources are fully utilised.
The successful candidate will need an in depth knowledge of engineering management within the analyser and process instrument sector (or equivalent), being able to develop, lead and coordinate teams whilst driving the function forward. Ideally of graduate calibre, with NPI process and six sigma experience, the ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering change and process improvements within a complex and technically demanding environment.
