A successful engineering company this well-established concern provides specialist, high-quality engineering solutions to the rail, energy and steel sectors, undertaking one-stop design, machining, welding and fabrication services for their customers.
They manufacture a range of products including rolling stock components, screens, conveyors and valves as well as wind turbine parts utilising CNC machines and advanced welding techniques.
In order to help spearhead the growth and development of the business, allowing it to expand its capabilities and customer base within key sectors, they need to increase their technical ability and technical standards compliance. To do this they wish to recruit a Technical Manager who will work closely with the Managing Director, driving compliance and helping them to achieve new standards across the business.
This is a new role which will ensure that the company continues to meet the needs of its customers (and potential customers), whilst maximising sales and profitability.
Ideally you will be a Technical/Engineering Champion with experience in either machining or welding/fabrication within a low volume engineering and manufacturing business. You will need a passion for standards and processes and be looking to develop your career in an SME environment.
Based in the South Yorkshire area UK, the role will involve liaison with customers, internal personnel, suppliers and outside design organisations. Prospects to Director level are excellent.
