Project Leader - Sustainability
The Company, an AJ100 Architectural Practice with around fifty architects, designs cost effective, clever and harmonious buildings that impact the physical needs and emotional well-being of occupants and users.
Their Environmental and Sustainable Team specialises in environmental wellbeing, a field which they have led for many years, using scientific research and bespoke measurement techniques to help people and organisations live and work in ways more beneficial to their health.
Their remit is multi-faceted and multi-disciplinary, covering ergonomics, interiors, installations, art, landscaping, building design, architecture, and more. In fact, they address any physical aspect that can have a positive impact on brain, body and behaviour.
Whilst they are an architectural practice, they do not believe that they should operate solely within the boundaries of buildings. The Team is now acting as an independent consultancy, applying holistic thinking to help clients reduce their impact and be recognised as pioneers in their field.
As a result, they are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Project Leader to support the growing team and growing business. The role will support the Practice on their architectural and design projects to ensure they meet their environmental and sustainable goals, helping to set the vision and acting as a sustainable champion. Additionally, it will assist clients on a consultancy basis with their environmental, sustainability and wellbeing policies, goals and designs.
You will need: An understanding of architecture and how buildings are delivered being able to work closely with urban designers, planners, architects and engineers A keen interest in sustainable design, materials and construction Good project management skills An interest in Life Cycle analysis A BREEAM Assessor/ AP or keen to train in this area immediately An interest in the WELL Building Standard, Passivhaus and other sustainability accreditation schemes.
